MCDh (Micro Chromatic Detection for Haematology) is a panoptic haematology staining method. Methanol-free, it is made of a sequence of four specific reagents used in blood and bone marrow cell differentiation and counting. This new generation of stains is in line with the standardisation trend in diagnostic techniques.
Giemsa R is a fast-stain, reacting in 10 minutes. It is used for dry smears and thick blood smears.
Giemsa L is a slow stain, reacting in 20 minutes. It is used for wet smears and tissue sections.
Buffers ensure good quality staining and reproducibility of results. Buffers should be used instead of tap water.
