Using Lactophenol Blue allows simultaneous clarification of the preparation (due to Lactophenol) and the staining fungal elements blue.
BlueMount is a formulation of lactophenol cotton blue with polyvinyl alcohol. Recommended for staining and preparing permanent, long-lasting mounts of fungal slides.
