VZV serological kits

The quantitative IgG ELISA has been calibrated against the international reference preparation of the WHO, the results are expressed as mIU/ml. The quantitative IgA ELISA contains IgG/Rf absorbant, the results are expressed as AU/ml. Both assays base upon the medac Single-Point-Quantification (SPQ) and had also been evaluated for the diagnosis of paired serum/CSF. The IgM assay is based on the µ-capture principle using enzyme labelled VZV antigen (ELA), the results are expressed as index values. The test systems are compatible with the other medac ELISAs and fully automatable. The results are software-assisted for rapid analysis including interpretation.
